Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser Skin Resurfacing is a powerful, innovative procedure that uses pulsating beams of laser energy to remove damaged skin cells in the outermost layers of the skin on the face, neck, décolletage (upper chest), and hands. By eradicating the damaged skin cells one layer at a time, new, healthier and beautifully lustrous skin can take its place.  The treatment is performed in a “fractionated” manner to ensure a more rapid recovery and safety profile.

As Dr. Hamilton can use the laser to precisely target the skin’s surface-level and deeper layers, she can individually tailor the treatment to every patient to meet aesthetic goals. Resurfacing the skin creates stunning results: the laser boosts the production of collagen (the building block of youthful, resilient skin), which stimulates skin cells to renew and repair themselves for softness, smoothness, firmness, and a powerful tightening effect on the treated skin (including eyelid skin).

Laser skin resurfacing also evenly balances tone and texture and greatly improves skin conditions such as fine lines and wrinkles, acne (and other) scars, sun damage, and hyperpigmentation — for softer, clearer, radiant skin that is remarkably younger-looking.

Laser skin resurfacing has the added benefit that it is appropriate for all skin types and colors. There will be redness, mild swelling, and peeling for three to ten days, depending on the strength of the laser treatment selected to achieve aesthetic goals. Dr. Hamilton can combine laser skin resurfacing with invasive surgical techniques (such as facelifts), non-invasive treatments, or other minimally-invasive modalities (including BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers) to further optimize outcomes.
